import file for GP financial series posting

GP integrates with our leasing software (Lease Plus).  A general ledger file is exported out of Lease Plus and is immediately available in Financial Series Posting in GP available to post.  Where can I view this export/import file to see the file format and details before posting?  Are their specs in GP that indicates where to pull this file in for posting?

Steve I think you are going to have to reach out to the developer or supplier of the Lease Plus application for the details you are looking for.

When you say "it is immediately available to Post" you don't have to run any routines and you don't have to run any processes in Lease Plus?

If that is the case, then it sounds like a some high level integration was completed for this installation.

What version of GP are you running?  Have you reached out to the partner that implemented the Lease Plus?

Steve,  There should be some logging details in Lease Plus for the import/export.  You may need to contact the developers of Lease Plus or the company that implemented Lease Plus as suggested by Bill.

The answer for that definitely depends upon the type of integration that is developed and deployed.

You will have to get back and discuss this with your partner, or actually the party which developed the integration between the two systems.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

    Hi Steve,

Like others, I am struggling with a response to your question. If the transactions are 'immediately available in GP to post', then you should be able to simply print an edit list out of GP to see the transactions. For me, I guess the bottom line is that I don't fully understand the question. Did the transactions in fact import into GP? As far as whether their are specs in GP that indicate where to pull the file, the answer is - no. As the other folks in this thread have indicated, your answer to 'where can I view this ...file' should be found in the Lease Plus documentation.

I looked up 'Lease Plus' online, and it looks like some other 'import' has been created to get the data into GP. Is the data in fact automatically being imported into GP?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
