Reporting Setup Wizard error

Hi, I am new to Business Central and am trying to connect to Power Bi for a client. I want to write a custom query but when I try to use the wizard I get the following when I specify the table number. I got this number from the page inspector so it should work. Any idea what the issue can be.

Validation Results

The field Object ID of table Tenant Web Service contains a value (36) that cannot be found in the related table (AllObj).

    Update:

I was able to connect via the OData connector in PBI. Seems like there is some issue with the native BC connector.

    Thanks for your help MahGah!

    RE: Reporting Setup Wizard error

It's strange because I don't see this new page in Power BI. I was trying to view the page in the browser to see if it was created correctly. Do you know if this can be a permission issue?

I would use an existing table showing in PBI, but there are a lot with similar names so I'm not sure with is the correct one. This is why I figured a custom report in BC was the best approach. I can pull from the source and filter out unnecessary data before pulling into PBI.

On a side note, I am interested in learning more about the architecture and data model behind Business Central, know any good resources?

    Thanks again!

    Hi

I know if you click on link then you need to enter your user and password and you will receive that error. But if you go to Power Bi and find the same name you gave to the link then you are good to go.

Also, I wish I know why MS decided to use page instead of table. To me table makes more sense but they may have some other reasons.

Thank you MahGah, I was able to get it working using the page number. There is a strange glitch where the wizard doesn't work if you enter the new name before you specify the table number.

When it try testing the link that has been created I get the following auth error. I have 365 full permission access access, is this not enough or am I missing some step?

     {"error":{"code":"Authentication_InvalidCredentials","message":"The server has rejected the client credentials. CorrelationId: 178fbc4e-cd3f-4e12-9649-78327c0745e6."}}

    RE: Reporting Setup Wizard error

    Hi

Are you trying to write Query Object in BC and then publish it in Web Service? If yes, I hope some developer can help you.

But if you want to publish specific table/page then Power Bi needs Page number instead of Table Number. Hence, from Page inspector find the Page number you need then in web service try the Object Type page and use that page number.

    I hope this help
