Hello and thank you in advance,

I have an Android terminal and a portable printer connected with Bluetooth.

It works well by printing directly by the terminal.

Now I use the Android WMS application from Microsoft for our ERP D365FO in Prem.

Example of a need in the Production menu:

Action: - When declaring the end of a manufacturing order from the terminal, a container label is automatically launched.

Expected result: A label on the printer connected to the terminal is printed.

Problem: container or personalized label of the D365FO in Prem launched by the application of a terminal on the local printer linked to the terminal!

Question: How to configure D365fo for this process?

The label printing process depends on the printer being accessible through a Document Routing Agent (DRA) installed on a server; DRA cannot be installed on Android devices.

Unfortunately, since the Bluetooth printer cannot be accessed by the Document Routing Agent, it cannot be used.

I’m afraid, that the answer is no. Not using configuration.

You are looking into developing a custom solution for this.

Hi Hichem,

For label layout modifications, you need to ensure that the Document routing layouts are setup under Warehouse Management -> Setup -> Document routing layouts.

There is a section called Label format in the Document routing Layout section. Ensure that you modify the label section as per your requirement. Check out the schema or the structure of your label.

For example, this is a zebra scanning label printer setup sample that we setup for one of the warehouses in our implementation project.

For ensuring that your labels are printed to the right printer ensure you have the Document routing to the right printer.
1. Under Warehouse Management -> Setup -> Document routing, ensure that your mobile device user id is setup and ensure the printer is setup and pointing to the manufacturing order.

2. At the same time, under Organization Administration -> Setup -> Network printers, ensure that the printer is set to active.

I'm 99% sure it can't connect to the Bluetooth printer, but it could be interesting to see if this works since I have little-to-no practical experience with on-prem deployments.

Hi Hichem,

Just to add to the connection setup, you need to install the WMS Application on the scanning device(like Zebra scanning device) first and then have the labels print across on the printers. Its a .apk file that you can copy from a PC onto a Zebra scanner compatible flash drive and then install that the app on the scanning device.

The .apk file can downloaded through the link added below. As mentioned, ensure the printer is registered in D365 F&SCM through Network printers screen under Organization administration.
