I have recently encountered a client who has interest in a budgeting reporting tool that connects to Dynamics SL. In the past I heard of Microsoft Forecaster but I am not sure if that application is still being used or whether or not there is a replacement.

Could someone confirm whether or not this application is still being used by Dynamics SL or is anyone using that tool and wants to share their experiences?

Any input will be appreciated.

I don't recall that this was used with SL , I don't think so.

As far as I could recall Microsoft Forecaster was a module listed in the Advanced Management Edition for SL.

In my research I am seeing that Microsoft decided that they will not be investing further in Management Reporter as well as Microsoft Forecaster. I just want to know if there is any replacement....

Hi Lisa,

This is not a Microsoft replacement, but my company just demo'd XLStatements which does reporting and allows budget entries (and i believe forecasting) in Excel. it is designed for use with Dynamics SL.

Might be worth looking into as a potential option.
