GP 10 SP3 ->GP 2010 Currency ID grayed out in checkbook card

Hello

I recently upgraded (on a test server) GP 10 SP3 ->GP 10 SP5 ->GP 2010 R2 SP1.  One thing I noticed is that in GP 2010, when I open the checkbook cards, there is no currency ID (same for current version GP 10 SP3).  However, when I try to change anything in the checkbook card in GP 2010 it keeps prompting me for a Currency ID, which is grayed out.

It's also grayed out in GP 10 SP3, but there is no prompt for a currency ID in this version.  Any ideas as to what might be going on here?  Is this something that is an issue with the upgrade?  A new requirement?  Also, I can create a new checkbook card in GP 2010 and select a Currency ID and save it OK.

thanks

M

    Hi,

One possible cause of this issue is multicurrency is registered but the setup is not completed. You were not using the multicurrency in GP 10 sp3 (grayed out), so I assuming it was not registered on GP 10.  However, when you upgraded to GP2010, the multicurrency might have got registered. Open the Registration window and confirm that Multicurrency module is not registered (checked off). Don’t check it on unless you want implement it.

If you want to implement it, you will need to complete the multicurrency set up process

This is absolutely correct.  It was checked off in GP 2010 registration so I cleared the checkbox.  It was not checked off in GP 10 SP3 as well.

I checked all of the other setup items such as currency access by company but didn't think about the registration.

    thanks!
