Email a link to user with access to Sales Team Member App - target user cannot open the link

Hi,

does anyone have a solution on the fact that if a full user executes the /email a link/ action on an account or opportunity (or any other record) and he sends this generated record URL to a /limited/ Sales team Member user (who has access privileges to this record), that this target user cannot open this link, because of the fact that the /originating/ AppId is included in the URL....

thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    Hi Partner,
Yes, Users only has the Dynamics 365 Team Members license, and only sees the Team Member app.
For your question: this target user cannot open this link, because of the fact that the /originating/ AppId is included in the URL..
This is because your link contains AppId's pointing to other apps that are restricted to these users.
If you want to these users can view records through shared link:
--You need ensure that the appid of the url should be replaced with the appid of Team Member app.

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah

Thanks for your advice, but it's not that simple to "replace the appid with the team member's appid" - the URL is embedded...

Solution would be that on this out of the box button, the AppID was not included, and any user opening the URL, just open the record in their own default APP.

It makes no sense to allow to create custom apps based on User's Job Profiles, but if you would like to email a link to a shared record, it only tries to open the record from the app it was sent from?
this means you have to grant APP ACCESS to ALL USERS....otherwise the feature of email a link won't work properly...

Or am I overlooking a setting?

Issues seems to be fixed now by Microsoft...
URL sent through the OOTB E-mail a link button now works for users that don't have access to the source app the link was sent from
