Network Connection Error: Bad BIN or Host Disconnect for Credit Cards

I am receiving a network connection error: 501, Bad Bin or Host Disconnect when running credit cards. Debit works fine.. I know my BIN is correct and it is the same number as my other register. I had it working once but I turned on the windows firewall and now it wont work even though I turned them back off. What could be the cause of this?

    try resetting your internet explorer security settings to default, we had a similar situation and something in the settings was blocking us from connecting to secure sites, IE our credit card processor

    I would check with the processor and see what they are recieving on their end.
