Restricting Raw material release for some of the RMs while releasing production order using Awms

I want to release production order for only few of the bom lines not all using awms

For example

Production order having 5 bom line.

Using awms, when i release PO, System will create work order when all the 5 bom lines qty is available(partial or full reservation).

My scenario is to release production even for 4 bom lines since i know 5th bom line material will avaliable in some time but not presently avaliable. Just because of one raw material unavaliablity i dont want to stop releasing production order.

Production shop floor want to start working on the job for 4 bom line and once bom line material is available they want to work on that job

Does anyone knows how i can configure this scenario using awms?

Please provide your suggestions.

    Hi,

    I assume 5th BOM line material is not required for the 1st operation.  You could mark resource consumption on the BOM lines and indicate which operation each line is needed for. Then you can release the raw materials for operation X to operation Y.

    Thanks Dolores for the response.

    Let me detail my scenario.

    Operation 10 - Not attached to any BOM line

    Operation 20 -Not attached to any BOM line

    Operation 30 -Not attached to any BOM line

    Operation 40 - Will make as Resource consumption in the BOM line and attach to this last operation.

    Now i want to Release production order for all the bom lines except Last bom line which is attached to Operation 40. Will system allow to release and create work for remaining bom lines.

    Actually Raw material is not available  but it is in-transit and i cannot hold my production order then till i receive last RM.Production has to start and on the final stage will consume this material.

    Issue is all BOM lines are not connected to operation and only last one i can connect as a workaround.

    Please help with your inputs
