Accounts Receivable posted in one month and should be in another month

Can i unapply a posted cash receipt and apply it in a different month? We had a customer sent us a payment direct deposit which never was deposited. It happened in another month. Can i unapply the payment it that month an apply it in another month?

How does this work with the aging? Is their another step involved? We had to enter a general leger adujstment on accounts receivable for March to balance on trial balance sheet. We did not recieve the payments until Aug. 31. Our Aging is off the exact amount on the next month. Can't figure this one out.

You can void the payment in 'Posted Transactions', which will unapply it from the invoice. Then re-enter the cash receipt and apply it.
