Moved from Integration, Dataverse, and general topics forum to Finance | Project Operations, Human Resources, AX, GP, SL forum, because I happen to know that the question is about F&O.

In my opinion, the right solution is not creating a second identical button. I already expolained that in your previous thread, How to get current active data source in d365 F&O form like standard docu view form. Unfortunately, you haven't reponded to me, therefore no one knows what is the actual business problem you're trying to solve. I supsect you're diving into implementation details of a wrong design.

You seem to have two options:
    1. Either you extend the existing form. It's the logical and usual thing to do and you know how to do it.
    2. Or you can duplicate and modify the standard form, which means extra work and you need to keep maintaining the copy (when Microsoft changes the standard form) for the rest of life of the project. You'll have two buttons for the same thing, except of that you don't know how to do it. You'll also need to duplicate things like the security setup.
The question is: why do you insist on the complicated desing that you're unable to implement rather then simplying doing the normal thing?

Regarding your error about large files, it's not related to the topic of this thread (how to recreate button style like standard attachment button). Please create a new thread and explain your problem in detail there.

    Hi Dillibabu,

    A few suggestions:
    1. If you are using the DocuRef attachment options, there are some restrictions beyond a certain file size. Guess the size restriction is for files more than 10 or 100 MB because the size of the table grows substantially and it restricts your file. You will also need frequent clean ups to this table (data archival or deletion of files).
    2. For large files it is recommended you use either an Azure blob storage or a SharePoint file location where you can drag and drop data and have a link to access that file location on your D365 F&SCM screen to get quick access to the file.
    3. There is also a free downloadable tool called E-Attach - Drag and drop for D365 F&O that you can download through the link below.
    https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/dynamics-365-for-operations/elysian2ptyltd1592180594697.e-ttach_free?tab=overview

    Hope the above suggestions help.

As Martin rightly said, the requirement seems very strange having two controls of similar types to leverage drag and drop capabilities. Keep in mind about the restrictions of using DocuRef/DocuView tables. There are file size restrictions.

A few comments on Navneeth's reply:

    1. I've never heard of any feature in F&O that would restrict the size of file you can upload based on the number of records already in the table.
    2. The recommendation have already been implemented by Microsoft. In the document management configuration, tou can choose whether you want to store attached documents in blob storage or SharePoint.
    3. E-Attach sounds promising. The best code is the code that we don't have to write and maintain at all, therefore if there is something existing, it may be the best solution.

can you share any resources about azure blob storage regarding to store files against records in d365 fo

F&O already stores document attachment in blob storage by default; you don't need to do anything at all to get that.

If you have some other questions about blob storage, create a new thread and ask there. The topic of this thread is how to recreate button style like standard attachment button.
