Hi, we are experiencing an issue in GP2018 where the AA Edit Analysis window isn't opening for any user including the sa user. This started happening on Friday. There are no error messages and GP doesn't crash but the window doesn't open. We have cleared the GP locks but the issue remains. We have also checked the AAG02000 table to ensure that there are no records with a blank user ID present. We have checked security and ensured that there isn't a modified window being used. Please can anyone advise what else could be causing this issue?
This is a strange issue. I have only ever seen this happen with Smartlist and this is due to the Smartlist opening off screen. Is it happening in all companies or just one?
Have you tried creating a new user and assigning power user to see if a new user has the same problem? If it works, then the problem might be with the users records in the SY01402 table. If a new user works, you could compare the tables and see what the difference is.
If a new user does not work but it works in another company, you could capture a Script Log and SQL trance to compare the process of opening the window and hopefully get some insight on why this window wont open.
If you want to rule out the GP Code Folder being the problem as well, you can use method 3 of the article below to rebuild the GP Code folder and see if the same thing happens.
