Personalize setting not save, even after reset and re-personalize

Hi All,

I worked as a BSA in the company, and I handle part of the AX basic troubleshoot. Recently our production AX is having a weird issue, most of the users cannot personalize their setting, after investigate and try to reset the affected form, it works but as soon as the user close and re-open the same form, all the personalization setting gone as well as the "Enter/Return" key getting weird. Instead of moving the next column it jump down the bottom of the screen or pop up General tab.

As this happen in a wide-spread epidemic from one users to all the users, as well as when I try to test in UAT (other environment) it happen as well, making this issue looks really weird, any help or suggestions ? thanks in advance.

AX 2012 Kernel Version: 6.2.1000.1425

    Hi Dennis

You have try to delete the AUC files ?

Also, the UAT Env was created as a backup and restore of Prod env?

If so, I suggest you to :

    1- Stop AOS

2- open Sql Server Management Studio

    3- Edit SYSSQMSETTINGS table

4- Set Guid field to 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

    5- Start Again AOS

The AUC files take a name from Guid value, e.g. AX_{GUID}.auc.

    Hi Denis,

I have not try to delete the AUC files, is that where the personalize setting store at ? if you can tell me where this file is located for terminal users ?

Also the UAT is Pre-Production environment, we only done some user testings and then later deploy to Production, since this UAT is having issues, therefore we cannot use this to restore the AX.

Thanks for your quick reply, I will test out and let you know, many thanks.

    Regards,

    Dennis Lam

    Hi

AX caches code on the local AUC files.

You can find them on C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local folder.

You have created the Pre-Production environment as a backup and restore of the PROD environment?
