Hi,

I have c# project deployed in dynamics ax .  now  I want to  do some modifications  and  deploy  project again in dynamics ax.

when I  press deploy button it says

Unable to hot-swap the revised assembly to the server. If this is a test or development installation, configure the server to enable hot-swapping.

this is production environment . I already restarted  aos instance. There is not any ax client open .  do you know  how can i handle this error.

Are you trying to modify objects directly in Prod?

You can refer below thread related to this -

I  saw that link , But I don't  want to enable hot swapping  in Prod .  Well  I don't know  how to update dll  without modifying it.

Let me stress that you should not change anything directly in a Production instance ever again now or in the future, since you are risking the AOS instance to crash or have other issues. You must follow the guidelines of code deployment from a Build/Staging environment via a ModelStore release, that is the only safe and recommended way.

So the suggested answer is to follow code deployment guidelines, and do such deployment only during an outage in a maintenance window.

Any alternative solutions for changing the DLL would require AOS restart, which is something again that you should not do to your Production instance lightly when users are working.
