My organization has a need for Posted Sales Shipments to be sent to customers via email as soon as they are posted. Is there a built-in way to do this? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for extensions to accomplish this?
Yes, it can be done using standard.
In Sales Order press Post and Send.
Then in the pop-up window - You can change the settings - if you want to be prompted for the email sending, or just use default settings.
Then another pop-up is given where You can choose if You want to post only shipment or invoice or both - in Your case, I would assume You should choose Shipment.
