Outlook desktop client seems to have its own interpretation of HTML emails. How do people work with this?
e.g. When I create a Marketing Email from scratch (not based on an existing template), I get 600px wide images only showing 2/3 of their width, Text in Columns wrapping but cutting off part of the word where the wrapping starts etc in the Desktop client (if I view in Outlook online or open in browser the email is formatted correctly - its just the Desktop client).
I can find an existing Template that formats correctly - but this template has a lot of 'garbage' in it that I don't want, but this template also changes what components are available in the designer (e.g. no Column/Section area), and then when using the Designer I can break the Template so I get formatting issues again.
We're having the same issue. Was that fix released yet?
Was that fix released? We're having the same issue in our Marketing module.

@Isabella Tighe The text wrapping and truncating issue I am getting is not inside a Content block. It is in a
<div data-container="true" class="columnContainer" …..
<div data-editorblocktype="Image"...…>…... </div>
<div data-editorblocktype="Text"
It is probably wrapping, margin, padding related but as it only shows in Outlook desktop it is extremely difficult to isolate what it is (vs in a browser being able to use F12 and being able make style adjustments to identify what the problem is)
Hi, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Our product groups are making heavy investments in the marketing email editor to make it more compatible with Outlook, and have a couple product repair releases coming out in the next few weeks.
1) For the issue of the email template images not showing their entire width, a fix for this will begin releasing to affected customer organizations the last week of September.
It sounds like you are also experiencing some issues in the template, which could be a result of using the content blocks.
2) Our content blocks in the email editor have been having some compatibility issues with Outlook, so our product group will be releasing a fix for this as well this month (you should see this fix in your environment within the next few weeks). In the meantime, the current workaround is to not use content blocks for Outlook by adding the content of the content block to a new section in the email editor.
