Permit update more than 15 entities for Team Member license with Powerapps license?

Hi, is it possible to add a Powerapps per app/user plan to a user that has a Team Member license, to make it possible to create/update more than 15 entities in Dynamics 365?

I saw this in page 49 of the june/2020 licensing guide but not in the november one. The graphic seems to substitute the Team Member license with the Powerapps one.

Can someone help?

Hey!

That graphic is still valid. However, and as you suppose, what you're doing is to Replace one license with another. Up to 15 entities, then Team member. More than 15 entities, then you should avoid assigning the Team member and assign either PowerApps per user or Per App. However you should verify if they meet the "Restricted entities" part: if are standard entities (Contacts, accounts), then you should use PowerApps licenses. But if it's related to Restricted entities, you should use a full Dynamics license.

Hi, thanks for the answer. About the restricted entities I noticed that too. I'm, still validating with my team.

But about the powerapps license I read somewhere that are meant for using a separate app to access the data. With Powerapps license I would loose the ability to use the standard Dynamics interface. Is this true? I'm sorry if I'm not very specific explaining this. I'm helping my dev team in license assigment.

Hello!

Indeed and as per the graph, PerApp/Per User PowerApps licenses are intended to be used not as a compliment to Team Member, but in order to provide access to specific Model Driven Applications. For example: if a user has Team Member, the sales Team member will provide full read access and limited edit capacity. If you require more than this and the entities you're going to provide access are not restricted (

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/data-platform-restricted-entities) then the PowerApps per user/Per App are a good approach and you can even forget about the Team member. But if the access is to edit some entities that are restricted (entitlement, FieldService Setting, Projecttask for example) you need a full dynamics license
