Does data copy down will overwrite the Dynamics CRM Version

I just did copy down of data from our PROD instance which is still with Dec 2016 updates to our Sandbox instance which has got Dynamics 365 Updates. After all the data copy is complete I notice my Sandbox instance has no longer Dynamics 365 version on it. I actually had many changes done in Sandbox implementing new features like Editable Grid.

Is there any possibility that i can get my Sandbox instance with all my changes restored from what i had earlier. Ours is CRM Online versions. Any help or suggestions please. Thanks in Advance.

I had to revert it go with Restore Backup option which put the CRM to Dec 2016 version and had to schedule for Dynamics 365 Upgrade again. So did not really have any luck to get the changes I did on Dynamics 365 version.
