    Hi Hassan,

You can configure Data Download/upload Ascyn Server interval in (Figure 1,1)

Retail > Setup > Retail Scheduler> Channel Integration > Async Server Profiler

    After update, Sync Metadata.

About Async Client Download/upload interval, verify the AscynClientService.exe.config , setting name "DownloadInterval" and "UploadInterval" in (Figure 1,2)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\CDX\Async Client\Package

This setting can change the time interval of the Async Client scan files to the Ascyn Server. Backup the file configuration, stop Async Client Service and update the xml file in appropriate software.

    I Hope this Helps!

    Hi Rodolfo,

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

Can you please explain little bit more about point 2 (in image)?

I mean to ask that I want to configure "AsyncClient" to connect "AsyncServer" after every 1 mint and check if there is any data to be sync??

    How can I achieve this?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hassan

The default time connection for the Async Client to verify the existence / need for download / upload is 1 minute. By default, the Async Client will check every minute if there is a file to download.

If you need modify this time, you can change AscynClientService.exe.config file. (As well as other Async Client settings).

Modify the  setting name "DownloadInterval" and "UploadInterval"...So you can decrease the number of connections / calls from Async Client to Async Server.

    1. Backup the AscynClientService.exe.config.

    2. Stop Async Client Service.

    3.  Open AscynClientService.exe.config file in appropriate software and change DownloadInterval and UploadInterval Setting for the time you want.

    4.  Save the file and start Async Client Service.

    Hi Rodolfo,

and what's the difference between Async client and Async server interval configuration? We're struggling with network intense utilization, and we've confirmed that Async server interval is impacting heavily in network utilization even when no job is scheduled.

    Thanks and regards,

    Iván.

    RE: Time Interval in Retail

    Hi Ivan,

Async Client Interval -  Time interval that the Client service checks if there are new records from the crt.tableReplicationLog (store database) to integrate do AX (upload sessions) or If there are new files/records available to insert (download sessions).

Async Server Interval - Time interval that the Server service checks if has new files to integrate, saving files in the folders (working folders).

When you say "network intense utilization"... we can assume that probably all stores and synchronization packages (1010, 1070, 1040) are synchronized at the same time.

Check the synchronization packets (1010, 1040, 1070 ...) at longer intervals.

Also check that synchronizations are done incrementally. In this way, the packages/files get smaller, which can decrease the network overhead.

    I Hope this Helps!

    Regards,

    Rodolfo Recalde.

    Hi Rodolfo,

    Thanks for the quick answer.

In case anyone is interested, finally the issue is not about Download sessions. We've realized that the Async client generates a lot of traffic when connecting to the Async server, as it downloads the Pjob definition every time.

We've asked MSFT for a fix for this issue.

    Regards.

    Iván.

We ran through the sam situation and dint diagnose the issue to the level you did. There was considerable decrase in bandwidth usage after increasing the interval. Anyways, good fine. Hope they will released a fix soon.
