Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Archived)

Saved Query with Id ="" Does Not Exist when enabling search on product lookup view.

Posted on by 387

Hi all,

We came across a strange issue today affecting our users, when a user goes to edit a product line item in either an Order or an Opportunity record and clicks on the product lookup (without first deleting the existing product) the user gets the following error message "Saved Query with Id"" Does Not Exist on product lookup view".  The view the system looks like it is trying to display is named "Products in Parent Price List Updated".

Interestingly trying to find this view using the metadata browser or looking directly in the solution.xml shows the view doesn't exist. However, we have also noticed that if we go into the lookup properties on the form and uncheck ”display search box in lookup dialog" and and retry the error goes away and the view "Products in Parent Price List Updated" is shown.

We have also noticed that if the user first deletes the product before clicking the lookup icon in the system the error does not appear and the view ""Products in Parent Price List Updated" works correctly.

Obviously, we can tell our users to delete the product first however, wanted to understand if anyone else has noticed this issue. We have logged a ticket with Microsoft and can recreate this issue in multiple different environments.

Disabling the search functionality on the lookup unfortunately is not a suitable answer for us.

To answer my own question this was fixed by going in and editing the "product in price list" view. Simply adding a field to it and republishing the changes. Speaking with Microsoft support apparently this then  forced the recreation of the hidden view named "Products in Parent Price List Updated". How that view was ever deleted I do not know!!
