Autopopulate recipient field when creating email from custom entity

Hi,

Our organization has created a custom entity for an order form. This entity handles all product orders, and add them to a queue for an instance in the org that completes the orders.

Inside an order record of the custom entity, when creating an email through the timeline, the "To (recipient)" field is blank and has to be manually filled in with the customer. This however seems to be out-of-the-box when creating an email through the timeline on e.g. opportunity - recipient field automaticly has the customer(contact) name filled in. Is there a way to map these fields in a custom entity?

I'll share some screenshots to visualize the issue:

The first two snippets shows new email through timeline in an opportuinty record. To(recipient)-field is automaticly filled in with the customer name.

The next two snippets shows opening an email through timeline in the custom entitys record. Here the To(recipient)-field is not automaticly populated with the customer name.

Are there any kind souls that can point me in the right direction, or provide some information on how to accomplish this? I reckon this is something achieved with a n:1 relationship and field mapping, but no idea how to do it (fairly new to crm dev).

Looking forward to any replies.

Stay safe.

regards,

Marius

How do you mean "relationship"? In my case, I have an email type field in the custom entity form.

    Hi,

    Please check the below points

    1. Do you have any email type field in the custom entity form?

    2. Do you have relationship created between the custom entity and email?
