Enterprise portal site is not accessible other than AOS server

Hi,

I have installed Enterprise Portal for already installed MS Dynamics AX 2012 R2 on a machine. All went fine and I am able to access EP site from server itself. Actually its a development server where AOS, Database and Enterprise portal is installed.

However, when I try to access this EP site from any other machine (over same network) it Shows "This page can't be displayed".

I read somewhere about system accounts and AOS service account, it is worth to share with you that;

  1. AOS service is running under Network service account (Don't know why AX was already installed)
  2. BC Proxy account is not the same as AOS service account in AX (Will this make any difference?)
  3. I used the another account to install EP on server which is same as BC proxy account.
  4. SSRS reports are working and I am able access reports from server through web service URL

If this is a user account issue then how can i change AOS service account and what will be the impact of doing so on current installation?

Is there any option in EP site which I need to configure? Kindly note that I have already added users into site Permissions in EP site and have given them Full Control.

Please help me on this issue soon as I have to demo it.

    First of all, make sure the port for your site is opened in Windows Firewall on your IIS machine.

    How to check this and where? I used port 88 for this new EP site as port 80 was already used.

    On the machine where you have the IIS, AOS, etc, just go to Control Panel, open up Windows Firewall and create a rule there for port 88 on the Domain and Private networks. Doing a simple internet search will explain clearly how to do this.

    As Iulian suggested and it is the part of AX components installation that you need to create rules in windows firewall for required ports.  You sometime require to add rule for ports for SQL server reporting, analysis services and enterprise portal if you are not using default ports.

    I created a document few months ago with firewall settings for all ports in AX 2012.

    You can have a look on these links to know how to add rule for a port in windows firewall. wiki.mcneel.com/.../window7firewall

    I too am having this issue - Dynamics AX, all components installed on one box as a test-bed for our developers.  I can get to the AX application from the client on my workstation, but I can only get to the EP from the server on which everything is installed.  Attempts to reach it from other computers (on the same domain) gives "page cannot be displayed".  The kicker here is that I have the firewall on that box turned completely off anyway.  So are there any other suggestions if the firewall isn't the issue?
