We have updated our Great Plains 9.0 to 2010 over the week. Everything is going smoothly the only issue that we are having is importing the securtiy. I didnt add the user it was already in the company database but i go to chage the access of the user. I am getting this error .
I noticed the user doesnt have a SQL login in like it did on the old server, is there a way to sync the logins between GP and SQL?

Thank you after posting this i started working with the SQL login and found a relative solution but the link you posted is a more quick and more reliable way
You didn't move the SQL logins as KB878449 states you need to. There is a script you can run on the old server to bring over the logins. Check out this KB:
