Requistion Worksheet - No rows created

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

Hi,

in a customers BC system i created a new item, item no. 71848

I set the replenishment system to purchase.

Then set reorder policy to fixed reorder qty., safety stock quantity to 30, reorder quantity to 20.

Then ordered und posted 3 items, so inventory = 3.

Then opemed the requistion worksheet, set in calculate plan report: starting date to today, end date to 31/12/23, also set the item filter to the new item 71848.

The report should create a line with quantity 40, because 27 is missing (safety stock), reorder qty = 20, so 2x20 should be ordered acc. policy.

But no rows are created.

i repeated the whole thing in my own BC System and it works correctly.

Is there a missing or wrong setup? could be something broken?

any ideas?

I tested with the setups you mentioned and got the below result.

i also get rows in my own system.

the difference to your result, 2 rows, is the flag 'Respect Planning Parameters for Supply Triggered by Safety Stock' in the calc. plan report.

the customer systems gives no rows with exact same setup.

    Found the solution.

Its the inventory setup flag: location mandatory

if its set the calc plan report in req. worksheet totally ignores all item planning settings, what is very frustrating.

this is a bug. dont think that this is documented.

Additional Manufacturing Setup: Components at Location plays a main role.

If not using the Production module like in that case, that makes no sense.

    Also not documented.

Hey Franz, the following link contains documentation that explains why its acting that way: learn.microsoft.com/.../production-planning-with-without-locations
