Hi all,
I'm relatively new to NAV (but not to CRM) so wanted to run something by you all. I want to test out the Dynamics CRM Connector to see what the default NAV->CRM mappings look like in CRM, with some live production data. However, the NAV environment I have is still on 2009 SP1 (6.00.29626), and the connector only supports NAV 2009 R2 and upwards.
For various reasons, we're not ready to upgrade to R2 yet in production. To get around this, I was going to take a db backup and do a restore of the live data to a new environment. I have a demo NAV 2013 environment set up, and ideally would like to use this, and am looking for the path of least resistance for now.
Is there any way I can take the 2009SP1 database, upgrade it and restore it to my NAV 2013 environment?
If not, what do you recommend? Taking the 2009SP1 database and restoring to a separate SP1 environment and upgrading to R2?
Thanks,
UC.

Hi
Unfortunately the upgrade to NAV 2013 is not as straight forwards as the previous ones have been, this is because there have been some large structural changes
If you are looking for the simplest route i would suggest that you rather upgrade to R2, this is a simple open it with the new client and say yes type of upgrade and will give you the quickest solution
Cheers
Neville
