Error: Contact No. " does not exist.

I am trying to setup Contact Business Relations as well as Industry Groups and I keep getting stuck in this circle. I go to add the Business Relation Code from the Contact Card, I select the only one I have made so far and I get this error.

Then I go into New - Business Relations - Related Information - Business Relation - Contacts which is where I am assuming the missing Contact No. error is coming from. However it tells me I need to enter in a Contact No. of an already existing contact or create an entirely new contact. This cannot be how it is done. I have the exact same issue with Industry Groups however Mailing Groups and Job Responsibilities work perfectly.

It seems I was trying to assign Business Relations and Industry Groups to Persons instead of Companies. :(

To setup Business Relation or Industry Groups go to

Departments > Administration >

Application Setup > Sales & Marketing > Marketing and under -> Lists select appropriate link and create new business relation or industry group.

If you want to assign a business relation or industry group

On the contact card, Click Related Information/Actions > Contact > Company > Business Relations

From the Contact Business Relation Window Click the AssistButton in the Business Relation Code field and select a code for business relations. The Business Relation Description field is filled in automatically, click OK.

Follow same steps for Industry Groups.
