Packing Slip and Pick Ticket

Does D365 Business Edition have packing slips and picking tickets? Are these reports part of the canned reports? Or do I have to edit an existing report to match what I'm looking for? If that's the case, which report should I be starting with?

The packing slip and picking tickets aren't too complicated. They simply have the order info at the top and the item and quantity in the body. It isn't too complicated of a report, so I imagine that it is available in some way.

    Picking list (for warehouse staff to assemble an order for shipping) should be available in the next release (see here - https://roadmap.dynamics.com/#edition=1#application=a56e2c12-2a92-e611-80dc-c4346bac0910 ).  Have a look at the Posted Sales Shipment document for use as a packing slip.  (I was looking for these same things a week or two back.)

    You can enable the picking list and packing list by setting the User Experience in the Company Information.

    1. Go to the Company Information page (you can use the search function)

    2. Expand the User Experience screen

    3. Set the User Experience to Advanced

    Hi Alex, even with 'suite' mode enabled I cannot find either a picking list of packing slip / despatch note (release 19573).  Please would you indicate exactly where you think I should be finding these documents, in D365FO Business Edition?  As IU_Hoosier suggests these are both really basic documents / requirements for any SME selling physical items, so it seems strange that even after all these months they are still not to be found in the system.  Thanks, Malcolm.

    The Pick Instruction action is available on the Sales Order and Sales Orders pages, also with the Suite experience.

    Hi Soren.

    I've got a dummy order here on my test system.  The order only has one line on it (for items that are in our warehouse) and the order has status 'released'.  The next thing I need to do is tell the guys in the warehouse to pick the items for the order...

    Again I've gone through all the menu options I can see on this order, and can see no sign of any pick instruction.  Where are you seeing the action to create a Pick Instruction in your system?

    I'm using Business Edition, release 19573, in Suite edition.

    Hi MalcolmS - You are right. It is not in an available build yet. (I was looking at an internal build.) Sorry for the confusion.

    It should be there with the next update, #13.
