Report for profits on sales orders

Posted on by 249
Hi! Is there some way to get a list of all current sales order and the profit? I would like this to find any possible mistakes. I think the profit field is hidden when it is in the Statistics side. In our old system you had it right in front of your eyes at the actual order.

Hi, In the standard , there is a Profit % field on the Sales Line. If this is enough, you can add it to the page.
PS: Business Central 2023 wave 2 (BC23): Add existing table fields to optimize your pages (Adding Table Fields to Page without Page Extensions)
This information can also be seen in the Factbox on the right.

Or you can use Statistics, where in addition to the percentage, you can also see the amount.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

As far as I know there is no out of the box way to show the Profit % for all sales orders on a list. If you were looking for posted sales invoices, you could use the Sales Statistics or Customer/Item Sales Reports which both show the Profit %.

For sales orders you have a few options:

    1. Do it manually one by one as you've been doing by going to the Statistics Page from each Sales Order

    2. Ask your partner to get a developer to customize the system to add a Profit % field to the Sales Order Header and Sales List Page, this way you have the field always visible

    3. Use a third party reporting tool such as Power Bi or Jet Reports to create a report that would show your list of sales orders and Profit %, this should be fairly quick to create
