Hi all,

I am working with MS CRM 2013 and exporting development environment unmanned solution to managed solution for production and some entities inside this unmanned solution in development environment are having data records. How i can export those data records with entity of managed solution package for production.

Anyone please to solve.

Thanks,

Veeresh

The common way to move data for your customizations is to export and import them into the environment

You could store the data as xml files which you can add into your solution, this maybe a way to bring in the data but this would probably take longer to write the code than it would to export and import the data

    Thanks for you reply Ben,

I have done in this way I have exported the development data to some XML file and importing in production.

but in production I will have to run custom code to do this stuff but I want to avoid this and I want to import the solution directly as zip file and data has to come in entity along with that.

and one more thing I am creating some add-on kind of things so I will not be knowing the organization where it is going to import.

At Convergence - it was announced that one of the upcoming releases will include functionality to export solutions that include data.

Until the new functionality which allows data, you would have to create a plugin or custom workflow and then this could read the data from the xml file and use that to create/update the correct records
