We upgraded a client to DYNGP13 this fall. They have a large employee count and need to file Federal and State mag media. In years past all has been fielded with out error. This year the social security filing was accepted but the Maryland state filing was not. The MD Comptroller's office confirmed to the client the format was not compatible. Does anyone know what the format for Maryland filing should be, and why is DYNGP not making it that way?
Thanks,
Connie Beach

I have the same question (0)Here is the MD guide: forms.marylandtaxes.com/.../Mag_Media_Guide_W2.pdf
Some states accept the Fed W2 format, but others require a different format (containing an RS record). There are add-ons for GP that support this, but out of the box GP doesn't specifically build a state e-file format.
