How random is random? Ones created after you changed it? Can you narrow this down? If I set mine to manual it will not reserve. In your stock model group what are your physical update for picking? How are you picking?

    Dear

In my BOM Lines 100 items are available with different configurations. Out of 100 items some times few of the items getting reserved without changing reservation setup in the Parameter as well as in the BOM lines.

At the time of scheduling the production order items are getting reserved.

This is my problem. I hope you will understand the issues.

    Expect your help.

    Regards

You need to look at what is getting reserved and why, the pattern is not random, you just need to look at it. Are the reserved ones in stock and the others not? How are you creating production? Requirement Planning? Marking? What are your start parameters?

    1. All the items are having a sufficient Stock in the system.

    2. Production order creation through Requirement planning.

    3. What are your start parameters - I didn't get you.

If all items have suffcient stock at the level required of the dimension group with the item coverage handling this, coupled with reservation turned off and you getting it at scheduling there are two impacts in my opinion. The first is that the planning is impacting with marking and item coverage groups, I would suggest you verify this on an item basis comparing those new orders where some lines reserve and others do not. I am assuming you are correctly assessing teh stock at the right level. The second impact would be a modification. As far as I am concerned if I turn off reservation and schedule the order it would create no reservation entry no matter what I did, simple as that.
