Over the past two years, I have climbed the Dynamics learning curve thanks to all the helpful MVPs here (whether officially designated or not). I was able to build a custom welfare payment system for our local social services agency in Virginia. I used two OOTB entities; the rest were custom, with the overall application including over 175 workflows. We interface with two external systems; one inbound and the other outbound via a SSIS package.
We finally went into production in June and this past week we were awarded the governor's technology award for innovation. Using Dynamics, with no previous knowledge of the tool, I was able to build the next generation system and deliver it in the cloud.
THANK YOU to everyone here. With no previous training on Dynamics, no development experience, but over 25 years as a senior systems analyst, I was able to accomplish something that today even amazes me. Looking back on it I realize how crazy it was to even attempt. I was only successful because of this group of helpful people, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
As a community, great things can be accomplished.
