HI 

Trying to close Ledger calendar . When i reached period 11 i am getting  the error 

You cannot close fiscal period Period 11 because it is referenced by open transactions. You must post, delete, or change the transaction date of the open transactions before you can close the fiscal period. "

After checking the inventory closing and adjustment --> close procedure --> check  open quantities 

i found for an item , Packing slip was split . This Split Qty is shown in the check open quantities . 

How Do i resolve this error ?

    Hi,

    Why do you want to close a period at all?

    I would never do that unless the results are audited and finalized.

    I would recommend that you simply put the period on hold because this allows you reopening the period if needed.

    Will you still received the remaining qty that is shown as open or is the delivery completed and actually nothing open?

    Hi,

    You can check LCS issue search for possible known issues. I thought I had seen related articles where all transactions were posted, but still the closing was not possible.

    Hello mshuhaib20,

    Please check LCS for available hotfixes as Andre mentioned.

    I had a quick look and found a couple of them that relate to closing period issues especially in older AX2012 versions.

    This Shows how to open closed period using sql script

    It would be great if you can provide with some links where it mentions how to deal with split transactions which is showing open in Inventory closing ,where it its actually posted

    If the description/fix available on LCS does not help then you are probably best of if you open a support request with MS. Alternatively, you can get into contact with a developer who can help you debugging this issue.
