Finding Settings -> Data Management in the new Unified Interface

Hello-

One of our sales reps switched to the new User Interface somehow. No one else in our organization has so I'm not sure how he switched. I am trying to help him import contacts using the Data Management -> Import tool but I cannot find the Settings tab.

I temporarily made him a System Admin to give him full capabilities, even though he had that capability with his salesperson permissions. I still didn't see a Settings tab anywhere.

Does anyone know how to find the Settings, and Data Management, tab in the new unified interface?

Or, does anyone know how to get him back on the old user interface? I sent him the URL to the old interface and it re-directed him to the new one.

Thanks,

Elena

    Hi,

As mentioned by Mehdi you can access the old Data Management "tile" by the advance settings.

Also to try to fix your sales rep issue, take a look at the unified interface settings on Power Platform admin center:

A quick way to let your user access the old way, Is to set the forceclassic in URL:

    Hope it helps,

    Marco

    Hi partner,

According to your description, you are currently facing two problems.

    1) The import tool cannot be found to import contacts. 2) The advanced settings interface is the new interface rather than the old interface.

    • For the second problem.

If you click Advanced Settings and will enter the Power Platform admin center environment setting interface, please click All legacy settings in Resource to return to the classic settings interface, and you will see the Settings tab.

    • For the first problem.

In addition to entering Data Management-> Import tool to import data, we can also import in the view.

If we want to see the execution result of the import file, then we have to see it in Data Management-> Import tool.

    Mehdi-

I appreciate the help. Unfortunately, that did not work for my sales rep. It took him to a page in the new UI.

    Hi partner,

Could you provide a screenshot of the new UI?

Please refer to my answner, if it took hime to the Power Platform admin center, just click All legacy settings in Resource to return to the classic settings interface.

In addition, please refer to this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../solution
