Dynamics AX 2012 Retail - POS button actions

Greetings,

AX 2012 Retail Feature pack VPC with Contoso Demo data.

In the Dynamics AX 2012 FP for Retail, we are able to see the POS button layout in Design mode under menu Retail > Setup > POS > Button Grid. In the button properties, a particular type of Action is chosen which defines the behaviour for the button. Following the Action type, they come from the Operations form which is also under the same menu.

My question is in the operations I do not find any link to execution classes, etc. Assuming I create a new button and want to create a small functionality how would I go about doing it. Or how would I trace the classes that are getting executed in the existing buttons from the Actions?

There is pretty much no documentation in this area and Technet doesn't offer any help either. If anyone has done developments on the retail, please do offer some insights or point to relevant documentation.

Thanks.

You should use the "blank operation" button. Install the POS plugin SDK and implement the funtionality in  public void BlankOperation functions. You can have mulitple blank operation buttons just by changes the param value.

PLease refer to the below article
