I am trying to configure AX 2012 legacy and provided the following information

Port: 8201

Server: SERVER

Username: SERVER\Administrator

The Administrator is a the AD domain admin and also have ERP AX user with Sys Admin role.

In the SQL database, against "DynamicsAX" database he has sysadmin permission

For some reason i couldn't see the dbreader but public permission (eventhough i select the dbreader)

Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.Common.ReportingPermissionException: You don't have permission to perform this operation.

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.Security.Service.SecureServiceBase.SecureExecuteInternal[TResult](Func`1 hasPermission, Func`1 executor)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.Common.Service.ServiceBase.BaseExecute[TResult](Func`1 executor)

Component: Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.DataAccess.Server.CompanyService

User: SERVER\Administrator

It is possible that the user account might have been disabled in MR database.

Run following query on MR database and check if account exists and not disabled.

    'select * from SecurityUser'

    'select * from SecurityUser'

I had the same issue. I changed SecurityUser.RoleType from a 2 to a 5 because the installer had a RoleType of 5 and the other users had a RoleType of 2. Maybe it is because our MS Reporter is using windows credentials and our Dynamics server is using SQL server credentials. I don't have a clue why, but it works.

I am facing the same issue with User 2 with RoleType 5 ( the same as the administrator). The user is able to log into Ax, but the moment I try loading MR it fails. When I try assigning the user to the group for a company access this what happens "Access can't be granted to the specified integrated company. Company access is assigned in the source system." Am I missing anything ?
