Hi.

                I'm wondering why when I look into Product Dimension Group via Released Products, the info are there. But when I look it via All Products and Product Masters, it does not show the Product Dimension Groups.

    Hi Wnechester,

    You have to fill these dimensions or on the product or the released product. When defined on product you cannot override on the released product. When it is not filled on the product, you have to specify on the released product. In this way you can implement a corporate policy or a company specific setup. E,g, you might want to have other storage dimensions in a smaller company.

    The dimension groups for product and the released product are stored in different tables.

    Hi Wenchester,

    If you understand the concept of the dimension groups then you will realise that the information shown on the forms are relevant

    First of all

    All products and Product masters for shows all the products as consolidated company has

    where as Released products form shows product details for a company

    Now Product dimension group is related to the characteristics of the product which is considered to be same for all company

    Storage dimension group and Tracking dimension group are related to how product is stored in warehouse and how to track the inventory and it is logically maintained as per particular company

    hence it is showing like wise.
