Tax Law Changes 2018

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the new January Hotfix (GP 2013R2, GP 2015R2, and GP2016R2) needs to be installed for the new Tax Tables to calculate the new 2018 taxes correctly?

I am aware the Hot Fix contains some fixes to existing issues, but if a customer is not experiencing the issue would loading the Tax Tables be enough to have taxes Calculate correctly?

All the Payroll customers have already had the Year End (2017) installed on their GP.

Any advise on this will be greatly appreciated.

David

It does not need to be, no - if you are doing 1095c's, you should consider it.  However, the 2018 round 2 tax rate changes will work fine using the Year End for 2017.

Thanks for the update on this. I have multiple clients with Payroll where the Year End update installed on server with multiple workstations. They will be happy to know that we just need to update the tax tables.
