Buyer ID on Purchase Order Entry

Dear All,

Buyer ID on purchase order is not automatically populate, I found some VB code of GP Guru Mariano which is 8 years ago.  I thought this might have changed to automate from the user ID on latest versions, but I am on 2013 R2 but its still the same.  Can anyone confirm this and VB code is the only way to achieve this.

You will need to customize the PO Entry form using VBA or Dexterity.

It is an easy customization you could achieve by using Dexterity triggers which is my prefer method.

I am not aware of any third party product that will allow you to do default the Buyer ID from the User ID.

I just added the BUYER ID field from the POP Header Work Table to the PO Bank Document and it prints the Buyer ID.

    Using Dynamics GP2016R2.
