Hi,

Is there any way to create the following email:

Situation:

  • An email is sent out every month to contacts.
  • Each email contains a dynamic content with links to specific factsheet.
  • The dynamic content is defined on if the contact is subscribed to the specific subcriptionlist for this factsheet.

F.e.

Contact A is subscribed to factsheet 1,3,5, email contains only those 3 factsheets

Contact B is subscribed to factsheet 2,5,7,9 email contains only those 5 factsheets

Of course we can send out several emails but we want to combine this. Is there anyway to create this email.

It is a little bit the same as this issue: https://community.dynamics.com/365/marketing/f/dynamics-365-for-marketing-forum/380039/many-to-many-relation but currently I search for a work around. The Many to Many relationship in this give problems.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Nya,

Yes I saw also your reply in that issue. But I thought maybe someone has another solution.

As you already mentioned the solution creating a N:1 is not possible unfortunately.

    Thanks for your reply!

RE: Dynamic content based on subscription lists members

    Hi, Eline

Please refer to my reply in another issue: (+) Foreach loop not working in CodeBlocks - Dynamics 365 Marketing Forum Community Forum

The Dynamic Content actually searches for the corresponding list by the identified contact, which cannot be achieved through many-to-many relationships.

The only way to show the lists of a certain contact is to add a field into the Subscription List regarding to the contact, so that there will be a N: 1 relationship between them.

However, like the example you gave, a fact sheet would not have only one contact to subscribe to.

So it is not possible to uniquely determine the contact by adding a field and vice versa.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
