Hi ,

have anyone achieved the self service checkout on Dynamics 365 FO Retail Store, the use case is to have a Kiosk or POS and customer can checkout by self.

Further ,

1- To setup the Kiosk based POS , we need to configure the POS layout for it ?

2- Can we configure a checkout Cashier barrier with the POS device ?

Hi Muhammad,

Let me try to answer your questions:

You always need to define a layout for a POS, as the is a prerquisite. So, yes, you need to define the layout for this kind of POS as well - but his is not realted to the Kiosk feature. For more details about using the Kiosk-feature of Windows, please check this article:

As the checkout happens when you pay, I'd suggest you set a permission ID on the payments operations:

Currently we are not able to support a self-service checkout at a register. Looking at the comment from Holly, who is the responsible Product Manager for this area, it seems as if it is not even on the backlog yet. Hence I suggest you vote the mentioned Idea up so it reflects your interest. As more people vote for the idea, the more important this request gets, the earlier it will get picked-up and realized in a future version.
