System record templates

Can anyone help in understanding significance of System record templates ?

we have created few system record templates for "Product" record. OR templates can be created for any types of records.

but applying template option is enabled only at create "released product" form and for few others like fixed assets.

Then what is the use of enabling -  record templates for all types of records ?

    Hi Kear.

    You can create record templates only for some of the record types in Finance and SCM. From here: docs.microsoft.com/.../12-record-templates

    that means - We can make template at "Products" record level too. but can not use these templates ??

    These two highlighted in your screenshot are 2 types of record templates: system are available to all users and user available only to specific user. You can see them both under Common/Setup/Record templates. Use toggle switch on the top to show/hide system templates.
