Need to pause depreciation of an asset for 1 month. Accounting aside, any suggestions on how I would do this in GP without changing the historical amounts?

Hi Art,
Just don't depreciate it. You can create an asset group containing all of the assets except that asset and then depreciate the group instead of the whole book. Do you ever intend to catch this asset up or do you want to skip a month and wait until the end?
Kind regards,
Leslie
Hi Art!
This becomes a little tricky as with Dynamics GP as if you intend to catch up the depreciation everything will work fine if you just don't depreciate it. However, if you do not intend to catch up the asset on the depreciation Dynamics GP will still try to catch it up so it will meet the yearly depreciation rate.
