We are writing a simple application to update the committed status of a stock item when an order is placed on our web site. I wonder if someone can advise if it is acceptable to simply update the "committed" field in the table containing the stock levels? If so are any other field updates required.
We also need to replicate the POS sale of an item by manipulating the data directly instead of scanning an item through our POS. Is there any documentation available to help with this as it's more involved that just updating a stock level.
