Was coming here to post this too after having the same issue after Dynamics 365 SP2 update.  The removal of the navbar.js file can be done prior to updating or after updating and just rerunning the SP2 installer again.

I was able to resolve this by removing NavBar.js from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_static\_controls\NavBar\ and then running the SP2 installer.  This recreates a good NavBar.js file.  Seems to work fine so far.

unfortunately, i have removed Dynamic 365 server and reinstall CRM 2016 again, the problem is HTML div tag with id=navBar is not generated., and i have tried many ways to solve but no good result.

    Hi,

Having the same issue right now at my klient.

Test environment was upgraded from CRM2016 SP1 to Dynamics 365 "december update", that seem to have broken the navigation.

Did you get anywhere with this issue?
