Changing email address in GP 2013

Our company email address has changed. When I request approval to print checks, my old email address comes up and is sent to the person to approve the checks. Their address has changed also. How do I change the email so that both mine and theirs is the new correct address?

    would this come from Active Directory? - If using workflow approval, I don't believe the user email is picked up from GP itself - it is coming from the domain account (i.e. Active Directory)

    The email address comes from the user account's Email field in Active Directory .
