Changing total tax amount in purchase quote

I know I can change total tax amount in purchase invoice through statistics but I would like to know how to change it in purchase quote.

    Unfortunately it cannot be changed on Purchase Quotes.

    As far as I know, this is only valid for Order and Invoice. Quote cannot change the VAT detail line (Vat Different). But if you are referring to Total Excl. VAT, it can be changed.

    you can not change tax on purchase quote even you can change tax on a PO. 
    but if you want to reduce the total, you could use line discount or invoice discount as a workaround
