I'm having trouble in changing the status of an Inventory BOM to obsolete. I can enter the obsolete date but when I use the expansion button, change the status and then hit process nothing happens.

You said Inventory BOM so I am assuming you are not using manufacturing BOM....
Is the BOM in use in any current assembly transaction?
Have you obsoleted all of the items on the BOM first?

What is the status that you are trying to change the inventory BOM from ?
As a bill of materials moves through its life cycle, you might need to change the bill status from Pending to Active to Obsolete. The bill status is important because it is the combination of bill number and bill status that makes each bill unique.
