    • Click anywhere on white area of report design, menu upside will change and you would see another menu named as Report.

    • Now click Report >> Report Properties

Remember “Rule of thumb” for SSRS.

Report Page Size >= Left Margin + Body Size + Right Margin

E.g. page size is A4 that means max width allowed to you is 8.27in

So for your report, right hand side of equation must NOT be greater than 8.27 inch.

Makes sense? Fix your report design

The calculation is, if your report paper size is 8.27 inch and left margin is 0.25 and right margin is 0.25, you have 10 fields then, Each field should have 0.777 inch (8.27-0.5) / 10 if the fields are same.

Report size - (left + right margin) / number of fields

Click the fields, go to properties and change the width.

    1. The print preview display is based on the default printer settings (print preference paper size). Check the default printer paper size.

    2. Export the report in the PDF format, open the pdf report right click and  select document properties and check what is the paper size mentioned.

If everything is OK, you may mentioned the wrong width for fields in your report design.
