Does anyone know the difference between these two messages?

    On the released products, tab page Purchase, there is a field called Approved vendor check method. The difference between the messages is setting the method to Warning only and Not allowed. In case the product doesn't allow ordering from a not approved vendor, it will give you the error (red message) and you can't continue. A warning (yellow message) can be ignored.

    A warning is a notification message. A warning usually does not interrupt the execution of an operation. An error usually causes the operation to be interrupted or failed. In your screenshot, both illustrate the same problem.
    This error is mentioned in the official documentation -Vendor code isn't authorized for a specific product and date, as mentioned by Andre. You can check this documentation for specific information. At the same time, screenshots of the paths are attached for your convenience.
