eConnect referencing DYNAMICS on named instance of System database

I am testing a Purchase Receipt insert with eConnect (for clarity: taPopRcptHdrInsert & taPopRcptLineInsert). I'm on a named System database with a value of DYN2015. Yet, I'm receiving an error: Invalid object name 'DYNAMICS..MC40200'. I've repaired eConnect and used the Database Maintenance tool to reload procedures. How can I fix this please?

Indeed that is a very bad practice that I bumped into a few times.. where stored procs or code was written by using the hard-coded DYNAMICS system DB name.. just one more unthoughtful action taken long time ago by someone who thought that would never change :-)

    Whoops! - easily done!

For anyone else picking up this thread, you need to defend against this by using

    SELECT [DBNAME] FROM [CANFD].[dbo].[SY00100]

in your pre / post procedures to get the current company database, system database name and using that result to update the database context for any calls to the system database that in the old days would have been "DYNAMICS"

Silly me. I discovered it was not the eConnect procedure but rather a "pre" procedure which had been written by someone else and it used DYNAMICS.

I'm reasonably confident I gave it the correct name of DYN2015. I also provided that name (it defaulted in) when repairing eConnect. I'll remove and install again though.

While installing eConnect, what is the System Database name you gave? Try installing with DYN2015 system DB name.

    Thanks,
